1. Who we are
ChannelFuel (“we”, “us”) operates channelfuel.app from the United Kingdom and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: support@channelfuel.app.
2. What we collect
- Account data — your email address and hashed password (or auth provider identity).
- Workspace content — the niche queries, teardowns, scripts, packaging, uploads and settings you create in the app.
- Billing data — handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer reference, plan and credit ledger; we never see or store card numbers.
- Usage data — job history, credit spend and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
- Cookies — see section 6.
3. YouTube API Services
ChannelFuel uses YouTube API Services to connect your YouTube channels. By using these features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to Google's handling of your data.
What we access and store when you connect a channel:
- your channel identity (channel ID and name), to show which channel is connected;
- an OAuth token that lets us upload videos as private, set thumbnails and schedule publication — only when you trigger those actions;
- tokens are stored encrypted in our database with access restricted to the publishing service; they are never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
We keep this data until you disconnect the channel or delete your account, at which point stored tokens are deleted. You can revoke ChannelFuel's access at any time from your Google security settings, as well as by disconnecting the channel in the app.
4. How we use your data
To provide the service you asked for: run research and generation jobs, bill credits, publish to channels you connected, send transactional email (account confirmation, password reset, receipts), keep the service secure, and comply with law. We do not sell personal data.
5. Processors we rely on
We share data with processors only as needed to run the service: Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU/UK region), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments, invoicing and tax), Resend (transactional email), Google (YouTube API for publishing; Gemini models for content generation), fal.ai (image generation) and Supadata (video transcripts). Content sent to AI providers is limited to what the specific job needs and is not used by us to train models.
6. Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep you signed in — the service can't work without them. Analytics and marketing tags (loaded via Google Tag Manager) run only if you accept themin the cookie banner; until then they are denied by default. You can change your choice any time via “Cookie preferences” in the site footer.
7. Retention and deletion
Account and workspace data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@channelfuel.app; we delete personal data except records we must keep (for example billing ledgers for tax purposes). YouTube tokens are deleted immediately on channel disconnect.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and take your data with you. Write to support@channelfuel.app and we'll respond within a month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
9. International transfers
Some processors operate outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes
We'll update this policy as the service evolves and flag material changes in-app or by email. The date at the top is the current version's effective date.
